London Agentic AI: Building the UK’s First Community for Agentic AI

In April 2025 we launched London Agentic AI, #LondonAgenticAI the first and original community in the UK dedicated entirely to agentic systems. The group was created by engineers for engineers with one mission in mind: to provide a space where practitioners who build intelligent, autonomous agents can come together to share, collaborate, and learn from one another.

What London Agentic AI Covers

The meetup goes far beyond presentations. It is about digging into the details of how agents are actually built and deployed. Each session explores a mix of hands on workshops, technical deep dives, and collaborative discussions on cutting edge topics. Members can expect to learn and experiment with frameworks such as LangGraph, DSPy, CrewAI, AutoGen, and the OpenAI Agents SDK. We also discuss emerging platforms and share open source projects where people can try, test, and contribute together. The themes we explore range from Agentic Retrieval Augmented Generation and Multi Agent Systems to planning, orchestration, memory, tool use, and autonomy.

A typical session is highly interactive and  led by practitioners who are working at the front line of agentic AI research and product development. And perhaps most importantly, members bring their own projects and challenges to the group. We will soon be hosting Agent Clinics and demo nights allow builders to present their agents, get feedback, and troubleshoot in real time.

Who It Is For

London Agentic AI is for anyone who is actively involved in building AI systems. The community is made up of AI Engineers, Agent Builders, AI and ML Researchers, Data Scientists, and practitioners who want to move beyond theory and into production grade solutions. If you are curious about how to orchestrate multiple agents, design role based autonomy, or optimize evaluation frameworks, you will find a group of peers here who share that curiosity and energy.

By participating you gain technical knowledge but also to a strong and growing network of engineers and researchers who are shaping the next wave of AI. You will take away insights into frameworks, reusable patterns, and evaluation methods that you can apply directly to your own work. And you will do this in a supportive community environment where collaboration and openness are the guiding principles.

What London Agentic AI Is Not

It is important to highlight what this group is not. London Agentic AI is not a networking event run by companies to pitch their products, and it is not a stage for corporate sales presentations. We have a clear zero pitch policy. There are no recruitment presentations, no vendor marketing sessions, and no agency slide decks. Instead, every meetup is about building knowledge through authentic technical exchange.
The emphasis is entirely on practice and collaboration between people who are genuinely building in this space. However, sponsor of the event will get brief should out to the products and services if needed. Also if you are organising conferences and wanted to provided massive discounts for the community members, London Agentic AI community happy to partner with you.

Why Join?

London already hosts a variety of AI meetups and Luma-organized events. Most of these take a broad approach to artificial intelligence, touching on tools, trends, and technologies in a way that often feels scattered. Some are run by specific companies with the goal of building brand presence or driving their own communities. More recently, we have seen new groups forming around the growing interest in Agentic AI. Many of these are well funded, with paid speakers or corporate agendas, and often lean toward product showcases rather than genuine knowledge sharing. While it is great to see momentum building in this field, our mission with London Agentic AI is different. This community is intentionally natural, independent, and builder-driven. Our focus is on learning, collaboration, and hands-on building, not hype, marketing, or promotion.

What sets us apart is our singular focus on Agentic AI. We do not attempt to cover every corner of artificial intelligence. Instead, we go deep into the specific challenges of designing, evaluating, and deploying autonomous systems. The meetup was not founded by recruiters, marketers, or consultancies; it was created by engineers for engineers. Every session emphasizes practical knowledge, live demos, and open discussions. No sales decks, no pitche,  just authentic conversations between people building the future of AI.

We also welcome insights from organizations of all sizes,  whether early-stage startups or established enterprises, to explore how agentic AI is being applied in the real world. The goal remains the same: to learn from one another and to push forward the craft of building reliable, production-grade AI agents.

Upcoming Events

The community is growing quickly and our calendar reflects the energy. Our September and October meetups will dive into
two very different but complementary themes in agentic AI.

September 10th 2025 will be our first official event, hosted at AutogenAI London.
The theme is Building Reliable AI Agents: From Context to Evals.
We will look at how context engineering, evaluation loops, and optimization patterns can improve reliability of generative AI systems.
Expect deep discussion of frameworks like DSPy, techniques such as training an LLM as a judge, and the importance of semantic layers
and ontologies for production reliability.

October 16th 2025 will take place at Tessl London
at their headquarters on Pentonville Road. The theme is Agentic AI and MCP, focusing on how Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers can boost agentic AI applications. We will explore how MCP infrastructure allows agents to communicate, coordinate, and scale. This session is sponsored by Tessl who are at the forefront of developing AI native tools and platforms.

Call for Sponsorship, Speaking, and Partnerships

As the community grows, we are actively looking for partners who want to support and shape the future of London Agentic AI. Sponsorship helps us provide venues, food, and the resources needed to run high quality events. In return, sponsors gain visibility with one of the most engaged and fast growing AI builder communities in the UK. We also welcome new speakers and demo leaders. If you are building frameworks, agents, or evaluation systems and want to share your work, this is the perfect platform. The community values substance, authenticity, and openness. If you have something to show or teach, we want to hear from you.

Finally, we are interested in partnerships with other groups and organizations that want to co-host workshops, run hackathons, or collaborate on open source agent projects. The vision is to build a thriving ecosystem of agentic AI across London and beyond.

Code of Conduct

We are committed to a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all members.

Please:

  • Be respectful in discussions and interactions.
  • Value diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive community.

Do not:

  • Harass, discriminate, or demean anyone.
  • Disrupt events or interfere with others participation.
  • Share offensive or inappropriate content.

Reporting: If you experience or witness any misconduct, contact an organiser via Meetup messages or speak to an organiser in person. Reports are treated confidentially. By participating, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

Looking Ahead

Our long term vision is to expand London Agentic AI into an even larger platform for collaboration. That includes more frequent workshops, hack nights, and themed build sessions. We want to see open source agent projects emerge from this group, where members can contribute and learn together. There is also a plan to launch regional chapters across the UK, Europe and across the globe to connect local communities under the same values and code of conduct. Hybrid formats will allow people outside London to participate in discussions and contribute to the movement. The code of conduct is central to this vision. We are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone. By agreeing to these standards, members ensure that London Agentic AI remains welcoming, open, and collaborative.

If you are building agents, exploring orchestration, or experimenting with new frameworks, London Agentic AI is the place for you. Join us, share your ideas, and help shape the future of agentic systems. Join the London Agentic AI Meetup here
